About

DrugLawIndia.com is an independent legal education platform dedicated to explaining Indian drug laws, pharmaceutical regulation, healthcare-related laws and wider legal subjects in a clear, structured and practical manner.

The platform is created and maintained by Chirag Vora, a law student with an academic background in pharmaceutical sciences, holding a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) and Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences (M.S. Pharm), along with more than a decade of practical experience in the pharmaceutical retail industry.

This combination of law, pharmacy education and real-world pharma retail experience gives Drug Law India a distinctive perspective — connecting statutory provisions with pharmaceutical science, regulatory practice, healthcare realities and legal reasoning.

Why This Platform Exists

Indian drug and healthcare laws are spread across statutes, rules, notifications, circulars, regulatory practices and judicial decisions. Laws such as the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940, NDPS Act, 1985, Drugs and Magic Remedies Act, Pharmacy Act, Food Safety laws, Consumer Protection law and allied healthcare regulations can be difficult to understand without both legal and scientific context.

Drug Law India exists to make these subjects:

  • Easier to understand;
  • Legally accurate;
  • Scientifically informed;
  • Useful for students, professionals and citizens;
  • Connected with real regulatory and healthcare practice.
